This is why I need a subscription to the print edition of the Post. This was in the "In The Loop" section of the paper, on the 15th, as an "Advertisement," below the fold, even. Not ostentatious. Nice.

Dad, Step-mom, Sisters, and Nephew just left, from coming over for dinner, and to watch Heroes. Nice little domestic family moments. Lots of food. raoin and Ryam came over and brought cookies, toward the end of it.

Just like the fucking fifties.

i have no idea what to do when "coming over" to someone's house. in my memories of what you ought to do there floats this idea that you bring an excuse of some kind, like wine, or cookies, or a restraining order...

i figured since i had so many cookies, and there were children involved, that they were the appropriate reason to come over.
