wolven7Tom Waits - [Cold Cold Ground]--- I've been thinking about this, a lot, recently... I can't let myself lay it down, because... Well. Because.
I posted Crowley's spell, "Skidoo," earlier, because it's a perfect reminder of the things of which I need to be reminded, at this stage. It is a culmination of thought process and system that allows me to organise my thoughts, and recognise what has to be done. (Rasputina - [Hunter's Kiss]). I even went so far as to post it above my terminal, in the office. Lab. Lounge. Whatever.
To me, the most important two couplets of the whole structure are "Thou hast become an in-itiate./ Get out./ But thou canst not get out by the way thou camest in. The Way out is THE WAY./ Get out."
Move through it. Move beyond it, past it. Get Out.
It is a matter of another structure built around the distinct lack of need for a structure, and I'm absolutely certain that Crowley is laughing, while chasing imaginary snakes with the required mongeese. (The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets - [HVW]). Mongooses? Whatever. The Buddha taught that you do not need a way to discover the way, that the way and the enlightenment are within each of us, always, and that we but need to see it; that we didn't need him to teach us anything further than that.

You don't need structured dogma to learn and love, and attain paradise. It is with you, and within you.

You see where I'm heading with this; my sarcasm meter is off the fucking charts, tonight. My point is this: You take the input, the source, the structure, the form, and you decompose it, you analyse it, and you build the living thing that will be your Self, howsoever that may best be seen to be necessary. You need a group? Fine. You need a Lesson Plan, and weekly Church bake sales? Fine. You need to have your hand held? Fine. But that's one stage of walking.
What are you looking for, really? What are you trying to understand, what are you trying to gain? Because no one else can give it to you. Not me, not God, not Jesus, nor Siddhartha, nor Set. You have to take it in, don't you? You have to process it, don't you? Without your perception, your analysis and your drive to understand it, it is meaningless to you.
Poe - [A Rose Is A Rose]--- Actually, I take that back. It can never be truly meaningless, to you, can it? It means god, or the devil, or salvation, or forgiveness, or Satori, or freedom from Samsara. It means that, to you, bt to you beacause it's supposed to mean that according to other people.
You are a self-reflexive creature, and you are as subject to Gödel's incompleteness theorem as anything else {(Unless you want to be inconsistent, to contradict; then we talk about something else, entirely, which is necessarily the same thing; then we're in Paradox)}: Every structure you build will be incapable of analysing itself, without the aid of an external system. Reason cannot "validly" analyse reason, calculus cannot calculate itself, and you cannot understand yourself without a mirror. I cannot observe me without an entangled pair. Heh. (Eminem - [Till I Collapse]). But, when you recognise that need, you can use every mirror, every other system, to that end, because that's the stage at which we rest.
We no longer have to differentiate ourselves from nothingness, having done so, already, and created everythingness. Now we must take what we have of that everythingness and do our best to recombine it in a way that makes the purest explication of Us (you, me, her, whoever) that we can. {You see how we move, and change, and grow, and are inconsistent in our constancy?}
On the second, day before yesterday, I wrote something... Important, that started this train of thought. But it needs to be expanded, given the correct bone structure, the right neurons, and nerve endings, to grow what it needs...
