Writing a paper is so like bringing something into being, in damn near any other method you can think of. What if your paper was a work to bring the goal of your paper into being?...
...I know you don't need that kind of work right now, but it's an idea to stick in your subprocessing...
...and 'stick it in your subprocessing' sounds vaguely filthy and like an insult. :P
