How does a client eat two-thirds of a post? Not the whole thing. Didn't crash, no. It simply ate the part of the post through which I had the hardest time working. The part with some of my best informal writing, in a long time. Gone. No recovery. Fuck this. I'm angry, now, and something will suffer, ++BigTime.
However, first I need you to understand that Magic is real, and that the last time I tried to tell you this, the universes decided that you didn't need to know it. I need you to know that, in addition to the happy-go-feel-good, dance-around-a-bonfire-under-the-full/half/new-moon, and celebrating wonder and empowerment magick-with-a-K there is also magic.
Magic which astounds you, magic which destroys you, magic which changes the world around you, designs, defies, describes you. There is magic, if you make it.
You are a pattern-making, -describing, -finding, -deconstructing machine, able to see faces in clouds, and read the future, the past, the present, your present, her present, Christmas' present, from the combinations of birds in flight, and the hiss and roar of flames in a hearth, and as such, you can give meaning to that which would otherwise b e meaningless. Now, do not go toward the immediate pejorative to which we have become accoustom; instead, realise that it only means "Without Meaning." It's a null set, until you add something to it, you understand? It's a fertile ground to be ploughed, the meaning of meaninglessness, your paradox of only being able to start at endings. But you don't even blink, at it, and that's wonderful.
Magic is conjunction of power and presence, art and total artifice, style and substance, and all those other dichotomies, because, in the end, those things only have meaning, like magic on has meaning, like you, or I, or science, or god, only has meaning, in the cross connections between contexts. When you think about something, it has the meaning you give it, but that is one meaning out of the billions of meanings given and taken of it, every second, yes? Everyone has a meaning for something. Those conjunctions are played upon, back and forth, harp-like, to make this music, and if you can tune, [pluckk, break, or re- a string, then, well... Aren't you something? Aren't we all something?
But it starts with you, with the meanings that the meaningless things have: a song on the radio, at the right time, the way a cloud and tree cross a certain field of blue and grey in your vision, and the way you handle this assignment, this request, this plea for assistance:
Look around you, tomorrow, please? Watch the things you see, and remember what tthey mean. Remember what they meant the first time you saw them, and the things they have come to represent to you, now. What does it symbolise, in your current context? What is the importance of this idea-matrix, together with other matricies? What do the things that mean something to you mean when they're together?
And after you do that, could you please tell me the most important ones? The ones that you believe you hurt you hold you hope you know you build you dream you weave you touch you you you?
I need to go to bed, now. This takes a lot out of you... More, when you do it twice.
But isn't that always the way?

Date: 2007-04-03 06:21 pm (UTC)Isn't it amazing when you can Look that certain way and see the threads of Everything vibrating there, and KNOW you can just pluck one and see what happens...?
I don't understand how some people don't want to see things that way...don't want to see the numen beneath the dross, here. The price, responsibility, is So worth it...

Date: 2007-04-03 10:47 pm (UTC)I don't understand it, either, but I'm trying to, so I can work within the confines of it...
Also I can't believe I JUST noticed that i wrote "universes" rather than "universe." Most people probably assumed that I meant to do that...
