Fun idea... but it entirely misses the point. Quantum physics is almost entirely self contained, astrophysics has no idea what is going on, and string theory is currently about as testable as intelligent design. Instead of trying to explain string theory they should be looking for new theories of the universe. That would be more in the spirit of Einstein.
