"Hannibal Rising"
Feb. 10th, 2007 01:14 amNot the best Hannibal film of the four, but most certainly a worthy showing.
Gaspard Ulliel was amazing. He studied Hopkins, and did in-depth research in the area of medical examination. It showed, very much.
A great deal was shown and explained, concerning the nature of Lecter's relationships with those he held close, later in life, but not in a "Oh! And remember whenhe did THIS?! Well, now you know why!" It was actual decent character progression and development.
The lighting and colouring elements were profoundly expressive, without being over-bearing.
Dialogue delivery could have used some work, in certain areas, but the majority of the lines were done extremely well.
A very pleasant outing, indeed.
