People are Actually getting stupider.

Do us all a favour, eh? Feed your fucking kids, and give them some godsdamned toys. If you don't, I reserve the right to kick the shit out of your children, if and when they cross my path. Come aged 18, for those little morons, they are Mine.

That is all.

Do you plan on teaching children of developing countries?

Because it says, "At least 200 million children under the age of five currently fail to reach their full intellectual potential, a new study of developing countries estimates."

I'm sure there are a few malnourished kids here in America, but considering the obesity rate of kids today, I don't think that's the cause for their probably stupidity. The toy thing I'd go along with, but it wasn't exactly the topic of the article, only mentioned, really, in that "double whammy" section.

So I don't really think the conclusion that children are getting stupider can necessarily be drawn from that study.

When you get done with Good Omens you'll see how people can be fat and malnourished, at the same time. Famine gets bored easily.

That's still 200,000,000, the World Over, who are not reaching cognitive potential. That's people we're all going to have to deal with, at some point or another.

Plus, there's a great chance that those kids will make it here. Then I will make it a Point to teach them.

This is why i need to take over the world....

Well, even if the dumbed down youth of the world DID come to America, what's the chance they'd end up moving through to college and universities?

Even given how many idiots I've met at university, you still have to take into account the weeding out of a vast number of the general morons. That 200,000,000 can be sifted through pretty quickly given all those circumstances.

Maybe... We'll see.... Heh.

when you figure out how these underprivelledged parents in countries like Jamaica and Ecuador can properly feed and stimulate their children given the situation they're living in, then I suppose you're halfway on your way to a Nobel prize AND taking over the world.

That's what I'm working on.

just exactly how do you think yelling at these parents from your internet connection here in America will magically get the message across?

Hows about considering what Americans can do to help this situation?

As I said: That's what I'm working on. Internet doesn't fix anything, but it does raise awareness of a poor situation.

you are bitching at the parents... parents who probably can't see what you've written nor could they do much about it if they could.

AS mentioned before, how is this doing anything positive?

So raising awareness of a bad situation, even by "bitching at" the parents who can but don't, even by simply stating that, though this specific state of affairs can't be easily helped, there are other sthat can, isn't worth doing?

Okay.

I fail to see how kicking the shit out of a child whose brain has been malnourished will get the to be smarter. Please stay away from my Autistic son if that is the case.

How about the parents, then, who do have the resources and the means, available, but don't make use of them? Those who haven't been without opportunities or educational input, but have simply chosen to ignore them?

What about the governments who ignore the impoverished families and shit poor living conditions, in order to raise the condiditions of already good schools, thus further widening the socio-economic divide, and the perception of those who are poor as "bad"?

I'm talking about the willfully ignorant, here, in America, who read these things and don't learn from them, don't think it could happen to anyone, especially them.

And if you think that by "kicking the shit out of" someone, I meant physically beating them, then i've been misunderstood.

One of the best ways to move past a non-challenging start, is to foster challenge later. You allow students to see that their limits are there to be surpasssed and broken, and that they can do it, if they apply themselves and aren't afraid to ask for help. They're exactly as capable as anyone else, and as such, are worthy of the same time and attention as everyone else.

To me, that means being as tough on them as anyone else, while applying to their current level of ability. Not giving anyone "special treatment." The opportunities Everyone deserve, and the only way to get that done, is to make people realise what is needed, everywhere.

If that's who you are talking to, then identify your audience. That's your job as a writer. Don't speak in generalities then protest that you intended only specifics. That's sloppy.

And if you think that by "kicking the shit out of" someone, I meant physically beating them, then i've been misunderstood.

No, you used poor terminology. "kicking the shit out of" someone with no qualifiers given is a clear statement of intent to violence. Period. If you meant it in a metaphorical or spiritual way, then say so. If I said I was going to rape you and left it at that, you might be disturbed. I have no right to cry "misunderstanding!" saying "what I meant was financial rape" if I didn't say so. Again, that is usuing a well-known general imagery to connote specific imagery. That is also sloppy and in this case, dangerous.

let me put it bluntly and simply:

I am a parent. Do not threaten me or my child with violence because he might not measure up to your level of intelligence, whatever you think the reason may be or whose fault you think it is.
