People are afraid to hate.
Nov. 27th, 2006 09:54 pmCranes - [Paris and Rome]--- Brought to my attention by Devin: As Seth would say: "Ninja, Please."
I have very mixed feelings about that word. I have mixed feelings about Hatred, in general. People should be allowed to Hate, I think, but I don't think they should be allowed to Indiscriminately Hate. To Thoughtlessly Hate.
And Paul Mooney pisses me off. He's as hateful and racist as they come, but because he says it about white people, it's okay? It's not "Getting yours" it's a cycle of fucking hatred. Be prepared for the consequences and stop bitching. Hatred is a serious burden. Know who you hate, and why you hat e them. Research it. No, I'm serious. With a little research you can find something to hate about just about Anyone you meet on the street, I swear to god.
Much better reasons to hate them than the color of their skin, or a word they used. The ideas in their heads, and the actions in their lives, for instance. Or the lack thereof. I, for instance, hate the willfully stupid. Those who don't even strive for the shallow end so much as they Ignore the Deep end, push themselves in the geneal direction of shallow, float there, and fall asleep, and ask you to wake them up if they flip over, so they don't drown. I hate those people.
Madness - [Shame and Scandal]--- Anyway. Don't ban hatred. Hatred moves us. Hatred allows us to change the world, when we think it through, like anger and pain, and depression. Let hatred hate. But hate hatred, if you must.

Date: 2006-11-28 04:45 pm (UTC)Well, I'm sure they've done it before, but it just didn't get as much press because fucking KRAMER didn't say it. Sure, he was out of line (especially with the lynching reference), but what no one seems to understand was that the african americans to which he directed the rant towards were, in fact, being "niggers." Which, surprisingly, isn't very much different from being an "asshole," which is why I propose a complete redefining of the word, in order for it to apply to people of all races.
Oh, wait, it already has been, only no one uses it that way, because no matter what the connotation is, SHIT LIKE THIS HAPPENS. Can we ban just-plain-stupid terms like "colored" and "people of color," if this actually goes through?
