$7 got me 3.366 gallons of gas, this morning. Look at the numbers, and you'll understand why I smile.

Got to the train station right on time for the train.

Laid down the law with the morning class students.

Had a pretty good presentation in Ethics. I didn't think I did that well, but everyone else seemed pleased.

Regina Spektor - [Poor Little Rich Boy]--- Burned off a copy of this CD, this morning, and have been listening to it exclusively, over the course of the day. I mean god damn.

I have to say, I'm a fan of The Glimpse. The phenomenon, in either music or writing, wehre you gain a very small insight into the mentality of the person who wrote it, either through truth, story, or outright lies. (Regina Spektor - [Sailor Song]). But if you pay attention to the Glimpse, you can gather much more information, later.

This is how I find you. This is how I scare you with how much I know you. You let me in, for a second, and I get what I can get. Most of the time. Sometimes it doesn't work. But sometimes it does, and when it works, it works "like whoa," as the kids say.

I need to make a prioritised list of all the shit I ned to get done this weekend (it's a lot of things), and tomorrow I will start doing them. Tonight, I'll most likely sit around and finish Oryx and Crake again, so it won't be there to tempt me.

I'm off.

Yes, dear, you're incisive and creepy. I can never catch when I'm actually getting that, or when I'm jumping to conclusions.

Trust the instincts, and follow through. The more times you're right the stronger the instinct tends to be.

you're telling me that prices are down to about 2$ a gallon again? that's such an unbelievable number for me over here...

That's $2.07 for regular, UP from $1.96, last week. Pre-Election :\

In my eyes that is actually a good sign and I have the suspicion that you see that similarly. But looking at about 5-6$ per gallon in Germany (and cars that are not very fuel-efficient) makes me believe that this is not high enough for the U.S. market to react...

I see it and I want it, but here's this fun fact: I like driving, for cheap. I will conceptually support those things that allow me to do so, even more when they allow me to do so and keep things a bit cleaner.

So, soon, we'll see an increase in gas prices, and someone in the Department of the Interior will take the hit, but we'll all be forced to rethink how much we're willing to pay for "convenience."

Here's hoping it works.
