Long day

A day full of writing/revising handouts, and sending and receiving e-mails. Bought comics, tonight, and made dinner.

[livejournal.com profile] mech_angel had the idea to make fajitas, only with pitas, instead of tortillias. They were delicious. She made this sauce/marinade out of white wine, thick soy sauce, rosemary, garlic, salt and pepper. It was absolutely amazing, but we're thinking red pepper, rather than garlic, next time.

I'm thinking about the nature of my knowing you people, again. I know many of you only through this thing and various instant messaging services. I would like to change that. I don't like the trends I'm seeing ofpeople rating their friends, of people adding hundreds of people at a swath, "just because." I want to know you people, as well as anyone person can know another. Otherwise why add and pretend to read your journals?

Night.

That dinner sounds delicious.

I agree with the lj friends. I really only friend people who I'm friends with and read their journals. I do a regular clean-up of my flist every now and then and delete people I really don't talk to/read/whatever. And the only reason I'd keep someone on is if it'd cause drama to remove them. ^_^;;

(Also, spamming the cutest art in the world made by one of my bestest friends, because I think you'd like it. She just made a DA account for it.)

It was delicious. I still feel kind of full. It's weird.

Yeah, I don't like the idea of drama, so I tend not to delete people. At the same time, I tend to try to comment, as much as possible, and be as honest as possible, there.

That art Rocks. Seriously.

What sorts of knowledge increasing activities do you propose?

To be frank I think you and I should either know or not know one another.

Group meetings for those of us in the same vicinity. Meet and greets at a steak and shake, or some such.

Just in case you're interested, I think you'd get a kick out of my friend Jared, or [livejournal.com profile] planetx. He's living in Philly now, but I think you two would get along swimmingly. He is definitely not one of hundreds.
