You need to watch this, now. Olbermann's special commentary on Clinton vs Fox.

I don't care what your Politcal views are. This should not be the exception. This kind of editorial bravery should be the Gods Damned Rule.

The spirits of Spider Jerusalem and Hunter S. Thompson live on, minus the drugs, and the cursing, but no less venomous, for that...

Wow.

He quotes 1984, for a full minute and a half...

Just... Yes.

{Shit: "I'm Keith Olberman. Good night and good luck."

There's a powerful echo, for you...

{{from [livejournal.com profile] wacko1138: "It's a waste of energy away from things that do matter which is poverty, death, disease, the planet itself and fixing things in our own homes rather than fighting wars with others."

Oliver Stone on fear.}}

Olbermann's one of the Good Guys.

I dunno, I can't tell if the "good night and good luck" thing was a nice little reference (it's better considering what Murrow himself was referencing, though) or just a little cheesy. But hell, even if it is, after all that he can be a little cheesy if he wants.

I was pretty happy of Clinton's reaction. Everyone always bitches about how Democrats don't have any balls and then when one stands up for himself when a war is being blamed on him through no rational link at all everyone calls him crazy.

Exactly, and now people are callingpeople on it, in such large amounts, that its getting hard to rewrite the history books, without someone calling Bullshit.

This is "wrath" in the truest sense, isn't it? Makes me glad that there are still people with exposure in the U.S. that dare to speak up. Awesome piece, thank you.

Yes, it was quite validating to hear an actual newsman say these things, but unfortunately he said them on MSNBC. That network has no respect in the eyes of the beast known as The Media and therefore not much, if any, credibility with the sheep known as The Public.

It is necessary and wonderful that keith said this, but I fear it will be not enough to evoke any significant reaction in enough people to actually pressure Bush to change.
