The Mars Volta - Cicatriz E.S.P.--- Today be international talk like a pirate day, ye scurvy dogs. Note it.

Dreams of living in a house after coming back from a convention wherein many strange things happened. Bob had guests, two female companions, one of whom tried to sleep in the guest bed that was for me and [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel. I ask her politely and tell her firmly to sleep on the fold out couch, in the living room. The other slept with Bob. [livejournal.com profile] mendori showed up with some girl who had Charlie Brown blooper reels and porn. Something about traveling through the spaces between the walls, in the unfinished basement, and someone telling me that someone at the Omega Psi Phi head offices was dead. I'd called there, looking for my mom, and they recognised my voice, on the phone. Convention dreams, as I first learned what a convention was, through Omega. Part of the dream was of watching [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel go for the bus. Watching her all the way down the street, and then coming back to go to bed. Something, in there, in the shared space partt, about a pwer-outage, and my computer still working, for a little while, until the power came back, at which point it promptly died. The loss of power wasn't simpy physical, due to storm; it was some kind of omen. {(The Dresden Dolls - [672]). Something about looking German words up on http://dict.leo.org needing their translations, immediately.}

Very strange dreams...

The Dresden Dolls - [Good Day]--- Hal Duncan responded to the interview questions, and I'll be reading them, and processing them, today, and then I'll post them. and if you keep watching his blog, they'll be up there, soon. All told, it went very well, and was a source for a moment of synchronicity, but it's not over yet. Going to need to do follow-up questions, most likely.

But in that vein, quote I found on [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel's post, this morning:

"The problem for scientists is that they are observing and trying to describe effects due to something which they refuse to believe can exist. The problem for magicians is that they refuse to believe that the effects they create or observe could be due to something for which equations could be written"- Peter Carroll

And that's how we show them.

Have a great day.

Gah. When I first read that subject line, for some reason my brain inserted a "t" in "Briney". *shudder*

Exactly. Wasn't gonna be just me that had to deal with that.
