Venture Brothers was probably the funniest episode this season.
I agree with you in that Dethklok hurt. It hurt to watch. I'm so disappointed in Brendon Small.

You, sir, are obviously not a fan of the comedic value to be found in all that is Metal.

Every metal band in the world WISHES they were Dethklok. Danzig wishes he was as TALL as Nathan Explosion, and anybody wishes they played the guitar as well as Brendon Small.

They do the crazy shit that all metal bands write about, because they're cartoons.

But, if you don't like metal, to begin with, then you're probably not going to like Metalocalypse.

Also, Scäb (Duane's band, in Home Movies) was Brendon's warm up, for this. If you listen to the Dethklok Deththeme, you can hear "Kafka."

I saw the first episode of Metalocalypse the other day. Before the new Ventures and excepting Moral Orel, Adult Swim's original content has been epically disappointing lately (come on, scrapping Lucy: Daughter of the Devil but allowing 12 Oz. Mouse to see light of day?), but Metalocalypse looks like it could end up either awesome or awful. Here's hoping for awesome.

Damn it I LIKE 12oz. Mouse. It's like animated Lynchian shorts. They're awesome, and there's an amazing plot and sense of timing.

It's entirely possible that I'm insane, yes, but I love that show.

Ach, I suppose I can understand where you're coming from, but the thought of likening Lynch (who I'm fond of) to 12 Oz. Mouse (we hates it forever) is painful to me. Maybe if Adult Swim just showed "Rabbits (http://www.lynchnet.com/rabbits/)" instead I'd feel less-retarded by the time it was all over.

Anyway, it's a shame they never made any more Lucy.

Pilot didn't test well. Too religious in that Almost-serious way.

I thought it kicked ass, myself, but feh. Mouse I like because there is substance, there, if you search it (everything that happens is a clue), but people can also watch it, and not get anything from it. It works on a number of levels.

If you heart Lynch, here:

Click on the stuff by 'Somebody'. Especially 'BEAR HELLO'.

Well, seems I was tired enough to be unconscious by the (scant) time later that you came in. Because I don't remember you sitting at the computer for an hour and a half at all.

I was considering coming over there tonight since last night didn't work so well, if you guys want some company for a bit. I haven't the slightest idea how to get to your house from work though...I work across the street from perimeter mall so...I *think* I take 285west to 85north to pleassantdale? I cannot take calls at work so leave me a message and I will call you back on one of my breaks...tell me yea or nay or DEAR GOD WOMAN YOU MUST BE OUT O' YO MIND or tee hee hee Crystal we love you come frolic with us in the flowers or something fun like that so I can get a kick out of it at work. Let us share brainwrinkles together.

Will do. Tonight should be okay, though. They're gaming, and I would like to get out of the house, a bit, perhaps. I shall call.
