I only hope I can be as awesomely cool as Tom Waits, when I grow up.

Played "Make it Rain," first. Did two encores. The first one consisted of "Singapore" immeadiately followed by "Goin' Out West," which I really wanted to hear him play, because I was thinking about how his music has this down and dirty Weird Shit kind of vibe, to it, where he gets across the exact sensory impressions that he means to, and I wanted to ask him if he knew Voodoo (heh). So of course it got stuck in my head.

Every version was different, and he didn't play what you'd expect, only what'd you'd hope.

His between set banter was amazing. Goddamn I love Tom Waits.

I saw Pete the Trivia Guy, and Widgett, there.

It was amazing, on so many levels, even though I didn't get to meet Dr. Waits (see "Coffee and Cigarettes.")

TIme for sleep and awesome dreams.

Yes. All I could picture at points was a crotchety old mage of some sort, with a piano, and a circle on top of it, raising shit, smoking, and drinking.

Will need to try and draw that, now.

Every piece of "Real Gone" is so visual, I can see it, clearly, in my mind, and I want to sit down and draw the whole damned thing...
