Sweet - [Little Willy]--- What the fuck is the point? Seriously. Why add people who obviously don't know or give a fuck about you, and about whom you don't give a fuck?

I honestly don't understand the point.

If you're on my friends list it is because I read you, and I'm interested in the things you have to impart. (Bif Naked - [Moment of Weakness]). I would hope that the same is true, in the complimentary situation.

Now i'm off to go back to work, and contemplate a Mexican-style Chocolate Ice-Cream milkshake. Sounds tasty, don't it?

And they're in the bars, drinking fashionable drinks, and listening to Coldplay, on repeat, talking about how deep and meaningful the lyrics are.

Ah SHIT
COLDPLAY

-stab-

they don't have to listen to it on repeat, the radio stations are doin that for us. I'm stuck in a gaurd shack for the rest of this week, i'm callin every station i can to see if i can get some Lordi airtime.

Don't get me wrong. I like Coldplay. I think they have a pretty good sound, and some of their songs are pretty awesome...

But I don't think they are the Alpha and Omega of Music.

And Lordi airtime isn't going to happen, for the same reason Gwar airtime isn't.

Lordi might.

there are several hairband nuts on 99x crew and they do have listener request times where they'll play -super-legal mp3'x that're emailed to them.

and i'll kill a kitten.

all the kittens.

Don't kill the kittens. They love you.

THAT'S Why they LOVE you.

Quit being allergic. They'll leave you alone.

I told you that was a terrible idea.

Ah well. Now you know better.

As a self-admitted friend whore, I friend people who I either know in real life or people who say interesting things. The later have no clue who I am, don't really give a fuck about me, and rarely friend me back. I'm completely cool with that.

From: [identity profile] wolven.livejournal.com
Yes, and I understand that. I don't count that as friend-whoring. What I'm talking about, here, is people who have added me-- Three separate people, in as many days-- because they're not to their 700+ quota, yet. Then, as soon as I don't add them back, within 24 hours, they remove me.

One of them outright admitted that it was some kind of an experiment, testing the idea that even if people don't know you, they'll add you back.

I say "I'm a paranoid fuck. No dice."

Friend whores weird me the fuck out. WHY. Just go to MySpace if you care about appearing popular. Nobody's actually fooled, at any rate.

Am very envious of your milkshake. Very, very. Can't get anything Mexican nor milkshakes here for love nor money and man oh man am I missing that cinnamon-y chocolate frozen goodness right now.

Häagen-Dazs makes it. Expensive as hell, yes, but delicious.

And that's why I don't touch MySpace. Ever.

Oh, if only we got that brand here! The ice cream here is very good, don't get me wrong, but I really miss the variety of flavours I used to be able to get. I like licorice but not to the extent the Finns do (how many varieties of salty licorice does one REALLY need?).

Date: 2006-06-18 10:59 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wolven.livejournal.com
O.o No one needs that much licorice.

By "Mexican-style," you mean with cayenne pepper in the chocolate, yes? Mmm.

No, the other one, with Cinnamon. There's that place in Little Five, though, that does have the peppers. Xocalatl it's called.

I just hope I don't turn into one. And for the record, the guy who came up with the Idea to create the accounts for F, U, C, K, T, O, P, and 8…

…genius.

That IS Genius. Wow.

I hate MySpace, so much. Then, I'm not a band, musician, or Performer.

In some situations, I'm willing to accept that, but the most recent person only speaks Russian.

I don't like being added by someone who doesn't introduce themselves. And I know you don't either. And if you're not going to read someone's entries, why would you bother including it on that lovely little link called the "friends page" where you go to read everything you want to, in one place?? I'm with you on this, Damien. Also, beware the bots.

I treat LJ like my myspace account. There are tons of people I have known that are scattered through out the world. I'll add you. Then I'll email you asking how you know me or know of me. If I don't get a reply or a bullshit reply , you get deleted. Same here. I will atleast bother to comment on why i've added them and more often then not it's something common like a fellow writer or convention goer. next it'll really to push my webcomiccs on the world though. just warning everyone early.

Yeah, I tend not to add back, unless i get a comment, or I know the person, otherwise. I always comment, when I add, with a statement of intent.
