Björk - [Jòga]--- The constant working, here, is good for me. It reminds me that what I'm doing needs perpetual attention. Things that I'm not used to. I can't slack, like I used to, and squeak by. Well. Maybe I could. But I don't want to. I'm responsible for what other people learn, now. I have to do everything within my power to make sure that they understand what I'm teaching them. That requires me to be constantly vigilant.

It's a good thing for me to remember, I think.

I don't have much of magical Import for you, today, other than remembering certain dreams, where people called my names, and tried to bind me to things, prior to talking things out. Very strange.

Questions, comments, donations?

Apropos of nothing, I managed to update my story on time despite being sick for a week. So, have the cheerful thought that someone is managing to drag herself up that cliff of Goal, one painful inch at a time, despite the occasional boulder tumbling down, and even throwing you a thumbs up from time to time. (Teaching, wow.)

Good job. Determination is key. :)

Thank you for that, and feel better soon.

I think it's pretty damn awesome I know someone who's in grad school for a degree in mind-bendy shit, and said person uses logic and skepticism instead of being a giant damn flake like waaaay too many others who are into mind-bendy shit are.

Haha, what is your field of study, exactly? I can go on pretending 'mind-bendy shit' is a technical term, but... X)

Philosophy and Religious Studies are the exact titles, but "Mind-Bendy Shit" works too. ^_^

And yeah, I do use logic and skepticism, but otherwise I might as well just believe in purple unicorns, without evidence. I'm not saying there's NOT purple unicorns, just that i've no evidence for or against them. They're a null set. :)

Yeah, exactly, but it's amazing the number of self-proclaimed philosophers I've met who Just Don't Get That. Dunno if any of them actually went through schooling for it or not, after a point I just stuck my fingers in my ears (or the textual equivalent) and stopped listening.

Er, at any rate! I'm glad our virtual paths have crossed, because your mind-bendy-shit powers have given me lots of good stuff to think on that translates to better stories.

I'm flattered. Thank you for that. And even philosophers who Don't go to school can do that.

Either that, or subscribe to the "New" brand of skepticism, which holds that, basically, "if I don't like it, I don't believe it."
