wolven7The Dresden Dolls - [Sing]--- Today awas a strange day. I realised some things about teaching, while listening to this song. Some things about life, really, while listening to this album.
It's like singing. It's like dancing. You can do it well, and you can do it with passion. If you can do the things you do both Well and With Passion, then you've hit the jackpot. The passion can throw you forward, and get you to learn to do it well. Being able to do it well should inspire you to throw everything into it, because who gives a fuck if someone's listening? Who gives a shit if someone's watching? It's you, and you do it well. You do it with passion.
The Dresden Dolls - [Necessary Evil]--- You are like a vortex. You pull things and people into you, and pieces of their lives fall into yours. You can extend your vortex, such that the eye is encompassing, or you can shrink it so that all that's seen is the constant maelstrom. It's yours. Either are available to you and only you can decide what's right.
Whatever you do, though, do it well, and do it as fervently as you can. Otherwise-- as I've asked you, before-- why are you doing it?
