You walk down the streets, every day, and you see a curve of face, a gesture, and you take in a breath, everything quickens, Is that-- but no. It never is. Disconnected, now, across an impenetrable space of time and silence, because what would be said?
It amazes me, that in all this time, in the same city,
But when we close the gaps for those who need them closed, we often do the most important work for ourselves. We all need work done, even if we prefer not to think of our needs. Or only of our wants. Or any combination of the above, really; the point remains that we need something. And if it's given, you can think to yourself: "Shit... that still works? I didn't know you could regrow, those."

You run across people, every day, and you don't know that you know them as well as you do.
And you go on with your life, from where it left off. Maybe a little farther down the road.
