Jack Off Jill - [Star No Star]--- Hello.
I'm at my mom's, for the nonce. Listening to JoJ, Exercising, reading, watching the giant West Wing marathon.
I had some... very interesting dreams, today. More on those, when i get home.
I did some story planning, today, while listening to the new MSI.
I like watching my thoughts, feelings, and influences spread out into the spaces between. It makes me feel like something's been accomplished, even when i know that, on a level, nothing ever changes.
Reading D.F. Wallace's Everything and More does interesting toward the connection of the mathematical concept of transfinite numbers with the metaphysical conception of infinity. (Jack Off Jill - [Losing His Touch]). Helps to bring together a more clear understanding of why infinite points, on a line, make a single line, and, when added, equal zero. The idea of infinite infinites, of infinitesimally small dimension, and the fact that geometrics, algebraics, and calculi only describe to a Point... no pun [originally] intended.
I have to remind myself of the purpose of all of this. Understanding the parts, the way they interact, and the way they graze your surfaces gives you a measure of functionality, in that world. (Jack Off Jill - [Clear Hearts, Grey Flowers]). You can move and manouver, manipulate and affect different sections and layers of the universe. Operating, with knowledge of what does what, where certain angles intersect, which kind of levers need what kind of pressure, and so on.
I'm going to go. I'll be back, later.
Ta.

Date: 2005-05-19 02:57 am (UTC)And yes...I loved reading Rudy Rucker's new intro for 'Infinity and the Mind' and of the concept of different KINDS of Infinity. Still, GEB's first in the reading queue.

Yeah, the different kinds make different things happen, but all connect up... Merge nicely, when seen from Just such an angle.
I dig it.
