Static-X - [Destroy All]--- If you're on livejournal, take this poll: http://www.livejournal.com/news/2005-03-21-poll.bml

If you read my journal, tell me a few things:

1) At what are you good? What are your capabilities, skills, exemplary qualities. Yes you have them. Think about it, and get back to me.

2) What do you want to do? I asked this before, and got a sizable response (45 originals, or so. Thanks, folks), but i want More. (Yellow Machinegun - [Deep]). Give Me More.

3) What do you like, here? What do you like, in general, even? What drives you? Tell me.

I'll be your friend, if you do... Regardless of the fact that, if you're here, I consider you to be, at least, a worthy acquiantence...

1) I have a strong memory for faces and words, as opposed to numbers. I am good at organizing, whether furniture, files, essays, or whatever. I can solve problems with a minimum of information. Not saying I always get the right answer or always get it quickly, but I am better at deduction than most people I have met.

I can take a punch quite well. I can take multiple punches fairly well. I am an excellent liar, as far as creating a lie on the spot and making it believable and running with the lie for an extended amount of time. I am very good at sympathizing and allowing people to feel comfortable talking about themselves.

3) I like your LJ b/c you actually post in it. When you post you are not afraid to reveal what you think and feel. I respect your comfort with your outlandish opinions and goals and I enjoy your humour and commentary on society.

In general, I like conversation, eating, reading, laughing, holding hands, feeling comforatble, and lots of other things. I like stuff, to be terse.

Nothing drives me anymore. There is not really anything that I care about right now. Besides Persons, I have nothing to strive for nor anything that makes me want to strive. I have been in this state for a few years now.

I am a person who can keep talking and talking and talking on stage and somehow it comes out to other people poetic.

2&3 I've responded to before in different ways.

That is damned useful... people integrate poetry, more than prose, more than "Message," quite often...

And yes you have. ;)

1. Drawing. Writing stories, or at least beginning them. The conjunction of opposites. Down-to-earth truth, and turning esoterics into the same. Temptation. Making people feel dumb, apparently. Sarcasm. Absurdity. Yelling at Existence and bitching at Deities. Mediating. Doing what I Have to.

2. I really think...what we talked about the other night. Changing the World. Not in the usual sense, but in the real and definitive way that we talked about. I don't think it's just me picking up on you and thinking 'Hey, that's a good idea.' More...like with so many things, and so many other times, you help me define the nebulous shovepushtwitching in the back of my skull, give it a name and a direction.

3. You. About it. *kiss*

*kiss* There should be more than just me, there. *poke* Like You, for instance.

:P

I looked at others' responses, thought that meant why reading your LJ. I'm thinking you mean in life, existence in general?

Learning. Revelation. The lightning strike to the head. Amusement. Interaction and inter-catalyzation. Synergy. Change and evolution.

As you know, i imply it all-- I leave that open to the discresion the reader-- so that they can infer whatever first resonates. More honest answers, that way :)

1) I'm good at getting people to do my bidding...No, Really.
I'm good at organizing fundraisers and getting people interested and motivated to do good things for those around them, be it their friends or their communities. I've been told I do a fairly good job of cheering people, but I'm not so sure about that. I think my utter weirdness just takes their minds of the bad crap for a while so it seems like I'm soothing or cheering.

2) My three passions in life are the atmosphere, dance, and politics.
I want to do research on straight line wind forecasting and mesoscale weather. And hurricanes. And small climate shifts. And bow echo dynamics. And everything. I find the atmosphere fascinating. I want to get warning times up and public outreach at a new high. I want people to be educated and safe.

I want to dance. As much as I can, as long as I can. I'm fairly decent at classical ballet and choreography. I don't care if it's with a company or in my basement, I just want to dance. Dancing is like breathing or speaking for me.

Politics... I just want to do something good. I want to get the government to pay more attention to women's issues and I want to somehow get the partisan crap to stop, at least in the local. I fear I can't go far in this field because I have a soul and I don't buy into the partisan crap. I don't like two parties voting against each other rather than sitting down and actually getting something good done. It's crap and it's why this county is going to hell. To vote against something because it's put forth by the oposing party, even when it benefits tons of people, is criminal in my mind.

3) I like dance concerts, music of all kind, seeing people and how they are different, the weather, bad weather days, storm chases, coffee, peeps, Bill Clinton, George Clinton, Chopin, new pointe shoes, my few but dear friends, and many more things.
I like it here because you always seem to say what's on your mind without censoring yourself to please people. And I like that. I'm guilty of censoring myself and I smile to see people who don't seem to do that. What drives me? The ability to make myself and the world around me a little bit better. It's complete cheese, but it's true.

That was long.
Oi. Thanks for the welcome.

They key, really, is to put a lot of people with the same non-partisan agenda into politics, at once. Funny experiment: Lie about your motivations to gain Constituency, then vote your conscience, mine, heart. Reverese it, from standard.

That Was long. Good.

And you're welcome, for the welcome.

The Persons do not motivate, however. And I don't act for them, at least not anymore. I have run out of reasons to act. There is nothing that I can visualize that makes the effort worth it. If I haven't accomplished it yet, than I won't, and more importantly, someone else already has or could, therefore, no point for me to try. That's what I see in Life and Existence, as Mech put it.
