thenowhere's Writing Meme Part 9: <user site="livejournal.com"
Jan. 5th, 2005 12:29 amAt first, honestly, I didn't know. It was there, and it had a weird luminescent quality to it. The moons and the sun-- which was setting at that point, of course-- glinted, faintly, on the curves and lines, and it seemed alive, and half-formed. Before i could figure out what to do with it, it had slithered into the underbrosh, again, peering out with old eyes that hadn't learned everything yet.
Wary thing that it was, it still wanted company.
It called more people to it, displaying curves and triggers, but never enough to know how to bbreak it down. Not unless you were paying careful attention. I brought it to others, and showed them what i'd found. Many of them had no idea what it was, and they couldn't tell if it was dangerous, or tame. But it's your basic "Twilight Zone"/"Outer Limits"/Shellian plot, at its core: No matter how frightening or strange the thing, try to respect and understand it, and it may do the same, for you.
They seemed to learn that.
This story was written for
tribeofone, because he wrote This, and because
thenowhere started this meme: "Write something for me. Just for me. Post it in your journal so everyone else can see it, too. A sentence, a paragraph. Nanofiction. Short story. A scene, dialogue, a picture described, a moment, anything. Long or short. But it's got to be just for me. Tell the world you wrote it for me, even. Mine.
"Then feel free to put this up in your own journal, and I'll reciprocate."
And i added, and continue to add: Continue the meme. Record the point of origin, ie
thenowhere
And then i did this, for
thenowhere: Here. After that, things kind of went like this:
Those Who have written for me (In Order Received):
jessicarabbitt: Here.
thenowhere: here.
mech_angel: Here.
djedhi: Here.
reannaremick: Here and, later, Here.
loveburned: Here.
momentai: Here.
tribeofone: Here.
Those for whom i have written:
thenowhere, as stated, above.
jessicarabbitt: Here.
mech_angel: Here.
djedhi: Here.
reannaremick: Here, and Here.
loveburned: Here.
momentai:Here.
tribeofone: Here. Hah!HAHhh... Recursivity.
