The Dresden Dolls - Coin Operated Boy--- It was utterly Amazing. As i said, they played a cover of "War Pigs," on piano and drums, for fuck's sake. It was Ungodly Cool. But not as cool as when they did their "Special Treat," for not playing Bad Habit. Amanda kept fucking it up, so she gave up, and went a different route.

She Played "Pierre."

The Dresden Dolls - The Time Has Come--- If you don't remember Pierre, then you seriously need to revisit your childhood, and/or late youth. I felt like i was 6, again, watching PBS, and the animated versions of "Where The Wild Things Are." It was amazing. I sang, last night, more fully and loudly than i have in a very long time. I knew words that i didn't know, and songs i'd never heard.

The Dresden Dolls - Mrs. O--- There were opening bands, as well, and one of them was a band called Count Zero. Needless to say, they had my vote from the Start. Add to that the fact that they kicked a whole lot of ass, and you have a definate winner. I am on dial up, and will still be going to their site, for their free MP3s.

I saw many many people i know ([livejournal.com profile] djaesthetic, [livejournal.com profile] 000100010001, [livejournal.com profile] leiseengel [livejournal.com profile] photognome), at the show, and met a few new ones. I screamed, i howled, i danced, i sang, laughed, nearly cried. (The Dresden Dolls - Christopher Lydon). Two people put more energy into their show than i've seen from bands with 4 and 5 members.

I bought a Dresden Dolls Hoodie, their live album, and got a Sticker, for free. It was the best show i've seen in a very long time.

Amazing. I'm off to contend with the damnable dial-up. Cable and DSL have spoiled me.

Ta.
