Tom Waits - Don't Go Into That Barn--- If you read American Gods, you know the "Fuck You" kiss-- the kiss that tells everyone what side you've chosen, and that they can go fuck themselves. That has that meaning, right then.

Then there's the "I'm sorry [for your loss, not what has to be done], and i know it hurts, and it will hurt, but there isn't time, and i'm sorry about that, too."

There's the "You're here, you understand, and i thank you for that."

Tom Waits - How's It Gonna End--- There's kisses and touches and looks that convey all kinds of meaning, in simply structure and complex context. Most people never see them, though, and reproducing them doesn't work that well, at all.
