I'm in the house, and i have been, for a while, trying to coalate data, on the computers, and there are people over, all the time. People who are helping with the work, and others who are just there, wtching, then leaving. [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel is helping me stay focused and on the work, and, at one point, i talk to my father, on the phone. We're discussing working things, and life. I hang up with him and continue. Things are starting to get strange, and transparent, nearly paper-thin, like i can push through, if i try hard enough, and things are starting to feel like the stairwells at my elementary school.

My dad walks into my room, and i am very surprised. I'm still working, and trying to get all of this shit together, and here he is, with my uncle(s) Jeff and Jerome. They're twins, but, now, they occupy the same body. MY dad asks why i'm so surprised, and now the whole thing feels like a road trip, or a section of one, through woods, onthe highway. I tell him that i didn't expect to see him there, and he uses the facitious voice we use at each other to remind of things, and drive points home, and says "Well, Yeah, Son; I told you i was coming in, when we talked ont he phone, earlier." And all i can say to this is "Oh, sorry. I've been really busy trying to work on this, I must have zoned out." I look at the computer screen and, there, i see a scene from a Spider-Man comic.

Mary Jane is at a dry cleaner's, and she's looking at Peter's costume, seeing where it's shredded, and tattered, and she notices that there are four holes, two on each side, where the ribs should be. She looks inside, and there is a shed human skin. It's Peter's. She's in an abandoned warehouse, and there are clones of Peter, or shed layers of his skin, hanging from hooks, all around the building. It's dark, and she starts to freak out. The Man-Spider mutation walks out of the shadows, behind her.

I turn away from the screen, and l talk to my dad, again, and we convey that work needs to be done, but i have to go around the house, some more.

I'm hanging out in the hallway, here/my old bedroom, at my dad's house. There are some other things in here, elements of hotel balcony views, other things. Iron Chef Chinese, Chen Kenichi, is lying down on the floor, and he's also battling, on Television. He is sick. He has a high fever, and can't control the him, on TV, very well. That section of him is trying to mix truffles and tofu, in a braised sauce, over some kind of rice, and is, as my dad would say, "fucking up at a hundred miles an hour." Chen is sick, and i ask him what he's doing, and if he's going to be ok. He tells me the plan, and says that he must battle, this time. The Lumberjack Song, from Monty Python, starts playing, somewhere in the background.

I'm wandering through the upstairs, taking stock of everything, and i look over to see the Transformers, standing there, posing, while a variant of the Transformers theme plays, over and over again. I look back the way i came, and now there's a tunnel through a mountain, with a road. You can see daylight, from where we are, and this kid comes running up. he's the "eager, naive human sidekick who helps the aliens learn about the world, kind of," and he's one of the Venture Brothers. The really goofy one who acts like he's 7, and watching Science-Fiction/Fantasy programs, on the television. He's being annoying, and skating up on a razor scooter. We realise that he, too, has to sing both the Theme song, and the Lumberjack song, at the same time. He starts to do this.

Flash back to my dad, and my uncle(s), in my room, whcih feels like college, away, in New England, in fall, and they're acting like semi-hostile detectives, while still being loving family. I wake up

When i got in to work, today, i had -$130 on the register. Yes, negative one hundred thrity dollars. Soemone returned a watch. First time. Won't be the last, i'm fairly certain. Thing is, i got so few customers, that i never got into positive numbers. Ended the day with -$12.58, and then the gate took a small nip out of my thumb. All in all? Not the best of days.

I did get a two dollar tip, from this nice old guy, for putting the battery that He brought in, and the battery clip from His watch, back in place. He was apparently surprised i didn't charge him for it, so his friend gave me two bucks. Some other randomly nice people, and neat things. But the thumb thing, and then being nearly hit by a fucking Escalade, en route home, really kind of tweaked me.

Time for food.

So many bits, I don't even know where to begin making sense of that one.

That was pretty much my stance on it. I tend to focus on the transformative/working themes. So strange, though.
