A Perfect Circle - [The Hollow (The Bunk Remix)]--- Found out an interesting new fact, today. The House's modem-- you know, the one that's been giving me so much shit these past few weeks?-- well it has a neat little button on the front of it. It's a very sensitive button i've found, and there are words above it. Those words say "Internet On/Off". Yeah.

Anyway, last night, i dreamed of a Zombie apocalypse, and the only thing that really hurt the zombis, once you were one of them, was aluminium trashcans. (Oingo Boingo - [Dead Man's Party (Party 'til You're Dead Mix)]). [livejournal.com profile] kellinator was there, and, toward the end, she got bit. But, also, the world was getting the zombie problem under control. There were a bunch of famous people, in our ambulance that we used to escape. Or, in the dream, they famous.

I'm going to go do stuff.

Honestly, I'm more confused by the existence of a button on a modem that toggles your net connection on or off. o_O

I suddenly hear Eddie in the back of my head phoning Amsterdam because he can't print his paragraph at 3 in the morning and suddenly going "There's an on switch on the printer...oh well if I'd been a rocket scientist I would've known that in the first place"

Yeah, well cable modems? They don't, so far as i've seen, usually have an On/Off button. >_< Weird-ass tech...

Ditto - that's what I figured. Yup - there is in fact an on/off button on mine as well.

Here's the thing: You want an on/off switch? Fine. Place it in the back, where it takes more than a light tap, to turn it either ON or OFF! Oh, and make your "off" mode, an actual OFF MODE, and not a We-Say-It's-Off-But-There-Are-Still-A-Few-Processes-Going-Mode. Because, otherwise, a light jostle will turn the fucker off, and at first look, you might never know.

ROFL. Look if you're gonna go that crazy over the switch you should be more concerned with the service itself of "we're just gonna turn it off sometimes and you can't do anything but sit there for two hours ant wait. Oh, did I leave you right in the middle of 90 aggros when you dropped out of your game all of a sudden? Sorry" that is comcast service.
