wolven7Carmina Burana - [Reie]--- So, the last leg of the party, last night, went fairly well. There were games that involved people stripping, and there were people, from Horizons, who i didn't know. It was strange-ish. Fair party fair, all around. And i actually got to explain it, again, to people, and had people understand what the hell i was saying. (Fleming & John - [I'm Not Afraid]). By "It," i of course mean "My Reasonings Behind Throwing Parties The Way I Do." It's simple, really: I like it when people are honest with themselves, and everyone else, about who and what they are.
In addition to simply liking to see my friends, I have parties to get people to be themselves, and i continue to have parties, to get them past the point where they need things like alcohol to have fun, at parties. Alcohol and other drugs being inhibition lowering devices, and, yes, fun, sometimes, they're used to allow people to have the fun they wouldn't allow themselves to have, otherwise. (KMFDM - [Terror]). Often. Not always, but often. So my point, here (I say that, a lot, these days; like you won't get it, unless i point it out to you. I'll work on that.), is that people are using a loop-hole in the Super Ego, Ego, Id contract, to allow themselves to indulge. I say, why not simply do what you want, after thinking about if you Really want it, and refuse to allow yourself to feel guilt or remorse, about the whole thing? Much more simple, in the all around.
This is why i don't want to do bits and pieces. Because, at the end of the day, i want to be able to have everyone do what they want to do, after serious consideration of those things, and it shouldn't matter who's there, or who's doing what, with whom, if that can actually happen. I can Dream, Plan, and Work toward it.
Dreamed about parties, last night. Things that could have happened, but didn't. Strangenesses.
