This amendment would completely and totally prevent anyone from having that choice, because some... ... Apparently someone is too stupid and narrow minded to do their research on the matter. I read an article about it yesterday and the guy in question was purportedly slack-jawed at hearing women get genital piercings on purpose.

Perhaps I'm just out of the loop on these sorts of things, but the last I've learned, is that the mutilation did not involve putting shiny steel decorative bits in. It also isn't utterly voluntary, requiring signing proof of age and release forms, like piercing does.
