LUXT - [Mary Megaladon]--- Saw a young couple, in love, and he fed her soup, and blew on it to cool it off, for her. She took every opportunity to have her skin in contact with his, and he with hers. They looked into each others eyes, and i saw them there, and i had to make something for them. (Jeff Buckley - [Hallelujah]). Four haiku, about love, and their actions, arranged in a square, on a napkin, with a heart, in one corner, a broad-point, seven-pointed star, in another, and flames, in another.

As i said to AL, "There's nothing more poignant, and In The Moment, than haiku about observed love."

And i gave it to them, as they were leaving. I finished the heart, right as they were getting up to leave, and i handed it to the guy. They said they'd read it in the car, and i hope they do. If nothing else, i just wanted them to know that what they were, then, in the eyes of someone near them, was utterly beautiful.

As AL remarked, as they were walking away, "There's nothing like writing a series of haiku on the poignancy of love, on a napkin, except maybe convincing the subjects of said haiku that you're crazy, by giving it to them." And i agree. I just thought they should know.

Panacea - [VIP Torture]--- I'm really tired, now, so i'm going to bed.

That's a great story. Makes me thing of the time when I would have done the same. Now I'd just think, "Damn, I'm glad that's not me" and mentally record them as reference material for when I have to shoot a scene of lovers (and the writer in my head would have been extrapolating their relationship forward to its conclusion).

This little jaded moment brought to you by the letter Q and the number 23 (and the fact that I have to leave for work in about 10 minutes).

It was, really, something about my mood, last night, that said "Haiku" instead of "Frighten the hell out of them with conversations about cannibalism." Either was a valid option, really. I just appreciated it a little more on the haiku side.
