We went over Blake today... It was awesome. I really do Heart Blake. Here's what i wrote to the proverb i chose:
'In Blake’s "Proverbs of Hell", the fourth proverb on plate nine reads "As the plow follows words, so God rewards prayers." Seen from the traditional view of the Diabolical, this is a direct slap in the face to Christians, and their belief in the power of prayer, to save and fix everything. On the surface, it is as much to say, "God doesn’t give a damn, for you or your prayers, so you may as well quit now." The Devil would always do his best, to destroy the methods of communication, between God, and humanity, according to traditionalists, and that’s exactly what he’s doing here. Perhaps, though, there’s more to be seen, if we look more closely.
'What is said, here, is "As the plow follows words, so God rewards prayers," meaning that there’s more required of a "Good Christian," than simply pleading and begging for something to be done. To plough a field, you don’t talk at the plough, and ask it to cut a furrow. You must work, and struggle, and it is extremely hard work. What the Devil (through Blake? Or is that the other way round?) is trying to say, here, is that life, and living a good life requires work, as well. You cannot simply ask God for it, wish for it, and hope that everything will work out, for the best. God gave humanity the capabilities it has, and the struggles, for a reason, and that reason is learning and experience. This idea of experience and choice taking precedence over any notion of goodness, or righteousness, is something that pervades all of the "Proverbs of Hell."'
Because it's true.
I had a good day, today. Played some hide and seek, in the courtyard, at school, today, between classes, and got a bunch of really good quotes. I had great classes, and awesome days.
Wishes do come true.

LOOK! DON'T ask questions! We'll just say it hypothetically involved a stolen pair of Doctor's scrubs, a portable, propane haibach grill, and a VERY quick trial. Preferably in Texas. Though, really, any state would put you to death, for eating a new-born. Even if it was later found that he or she was the Anti-Christ, you'd probably still get shot, while being hanged, while getting the chair, and being gassed. You'd be Memorializd, post-humously, after they found that he was Evil. Ok?
Good. So we don't have to go into what happens if Metabolize the Anti-Christ. And Gain His Power.
*ahem*
