Slightly disturbed by my homework...

These are translations of some of the German sentences i'm having to Gramatically reconfigure. No, i did not make these up; they were in the packet, from a book.

1. I heard how someone knocked at the door.
2: I saw how my oldest brother opened the door.
3. I saw how the wolf stood in the door
4. i heard how we all screamed/cried
5. I saw how we all ran away.
6. I saw how my oldest sister sat under the table
7. I heard how my sisters jumped in the Furnace and the Cabinet

{1.35am: I should have known when, last exercise, i got one that was, in English to be translated: "We had to be quiet," alone and ominous, amoug such other prettily banal flowers as "I wanted to stay home," and "I liked her very much."

damien, these are german exercises about german fairy tales, how can they be any worse than the ones i was doing that went:
"he would like to scream but he cannot" and "Do you have to scream so loud?"

I was doing gramatical mutations, by rote, when i stopped and said "Does that say what i think it does?" I Translated it out, and yes, it did. I translated the rest of them, and... There you go. I couldn't find a translation Anywhere, for the word "Geißlein," until i found the webpage, with the pictures. So, i'd no clue that it was a fairytale, until i was well almost Through.

Upon reflection, it may well have been my fault, but i still stand by the sfact that i did not create those sentences, by myself. Heheheh

Never got to translate stuff like that in Spanish. It mostly went like this:

1. The green van pulled up outside.
2. Carmen looked out the window.
3. She screamed, "La Migra!"
4. Fourteen of them went out the back.
5. The other three hid under beds.
6. Juan remembered his kilo on the kitchen table.
7. He ran to the kitchen.
8. Men opened the door.
9. Juan was afraid.
10. He hid the kilo under the sink.
11. Juan moved back to Columbia.

Well that's the thing, innit? I learned, in Spanish class, such useful phrases as "soy el Ángel de la Muerte; todos quien oponerme peréceran."
