I picked up my copy of Perdido Street Station, today. I went to the B. Dalton, simply to check, and, apparently, they had Found the three small paperbacks that their system said they had. They were out on the shelf. Before picking one up, i went to a clerk and asked if My copy, the one i'd ordered, had come in. They said they didn't have it. So, i gave the small paper back copy to my mom, to go get it wrung up. They were in the Sci-Fi section. On a whim, i went to check Fiction, simply to see if they had his stuff over there, instead. What do i see? My Original Printing Copy of Perdido Street Station, by China MiƩville. I run it back to the counter. I buy It, instead of the smaller paperback. I am happy. Still can't read it yet.

In terms of what i Can read, i realised, today, an obvious fact. Two is a cheating prime. Other primes can't be divided in half (i.e. divided By 2), and that's one of their Prime Qualities. Primes are divisible only by 1 and themselves, Equalling One. 2/2=1. So it Cheats. That's why it's the only even prime. The full implication of all of that hit me, toady, instead of the murky understanding i had, before. Heh. I'm Slow.

Wrote a poem today. Need permission before i can post it. I realised that... there are a very few people who read this, who've ever had a poem, from me... One that was For Them. And those few have a Couple, or more... i don't know that i'm going to offer you to ask, but i will say that i'll try to rectify that. Feel free to say if you Don't want that to happen. No promises, there, either, but i'll keep it in mind...

I was thinking about songs that fit people, yesterday and today. Song that, when you hear them, you think mainly of One Person. And i was going to do another of those things, where i talk about people, and hint at them... only with Songs, this time... But i decided against it. On the other hand, i may post lyrics, with some kind of obvious (to the intended recipient) designator, in the subject line, over the course of some great length of time. Maybe.

In other news D.R. Hofstadter fucking Rocks, and i'm loving this book, even if it is a bit over my head (briefly), in some respects.

It's storming.

Later.

Some songs can't help but make you think of people. Like... Flagpole Sitta by Harvey Danger. That song always makes me think of you sitting out in the field at Grady with me calling people sheep and then passing notes to each other in the hallways... Lol. Anyway, night Dames.
