Good luck! I think it's a good thing for you to do this, and I hope church doesn't make you feel too uncomfortable.

I haven't fainted in awhile, but I remember fainting in church one time right during one of the readings...and one time while I was playing with the choir...both events were quite unpleasant.

I got out of going this morning due to feeling like crap thanks to something I ate last night, but I still have to see my mother this evening...but at least it's not all day, I can be thankful for the little blessings.

Didn't burst into flames, though i did feel Supremely weird... Every time the preacher mentioned Satan, or the AntiChrist, i was smiling...

It's fine. Church is. Went for 13+ years, and no problems. Only thing, now, is i have a wider view...

i do not traditionaly faint at church. i actually dont typically faint but resist doing so, and usually suceed. however i have a long history of doing things like as a baby crying whenever we passed by a church, etc. i agree that fainting is quite an unpleasant event. however i rather enjoyed the warm feeling of security i experienced while i was out.

when i am not living in my parents' house, i do not attend church. however i dont mind attending while i am living here. its kind of nice in its own way, even if i dont totally agree with all the dogma involved. i'm sorry you dont enjoy seeing your mother, but i am glad you dont have to suffer all day. my family is usually pretty laid back about holidays like mother's day and father's day, so usually it just means more family time than normal and something cooked the way she likes it.

its good to hear from you. last i heard you were looking for work, did you find a job yet?

I use to have a habit of fainting and still have trouble sometimes when I don't eat well, or often enough. As a child it would happen more regularly and now it's generally when I go awhile with out eating and do something active. I've ended up fainting at work before when I skipped breakfast, mainly because at times I couldn't take the time to sit down and eat before it was too late...that was embarrassing.

I have a lot of resentment toward my mother and while moving out has helped a lot, she is a person I can only tolerate in small doses...and I probably would not chose to if she was not my mother, but time does heal wounds and I can actually enjoy her company from time to time.

I am still currently looking for work. It has been quite frustrating going this long unemployed. I'm hoping now that it is summer and I am more available to work more hours with less time constraints, I will find a job.

Well, yes, it was more the sitting still for several hours doing something that isn't what you'd normally really enjoy that I figured would be uncomfortable. I'm glad it went fine.
