Date: 2003-05-11 12:52 pm (UTC)I got out of going this morning due to feeling like crap thanks to something I ate last night, but I still have to see my mother this evening...but at least it's not all day, I can be thankful for the little blessings.

Date: 2003-05-11 05:02 pm (UTC)when i am not living in my parents' house, i do not attend church. however i dont mind attending while i am living here. its kind of nice in its own way, even if i dont totally agree with all the dogma involved. i'm sorry you dont enjoy seeing your mother, but i am glad you dont have to suffer all day. my family is usually pretty laid back about holidays like mother's day and father's day, so usually it just means more family time than normal and something cooked the way she likes it.
its good to hear from you. last i heard you were looking for work, did you find a job yet?

Date: 2003-05-11 09:59 pm (UTC)I have a lot of resentment toward my mother and while moving out has helped a lot, she is a person I can only tolerate in small doses...and I probably would not chose to if she was not my mother, but time does heal wounds and I can actually enjoy her company from time to time.
I am still currently looking for work. It has been quite frustrating going this long unemployed. I'm hoping now that it is summer and I am more available to work more hours with less time constraints, I will find a job.
