wolven7Modern English - [I Melt With You]--- I believe that, again, i have been unsuccessful, in getting my point across. (Tears For Fears - [Head Over Heels]). I want to be very very clear that i Hate That Term, and i'm not exactly fond of other slang, either. I enjoy made up, futurised, or antiquated slang (so maybe i should move to the future where it's an Historical linguistic relic), but actually hearing people use a word, in slang, because it's "cool," or... Anything Else, besides the driven point of getting their point across.... It makes me angry. Very Very Angry. But i can deal with that. I'm not going to jump down someone's throat when they use slang, or when they add some extra Z's in their words. My vendetta is not theirs.
Tears For Fears - [Everybody Wants To Rule The World]--- All of that said, i DO, DO, That's FUCKING D. O. believe that the use of slang can broaden our Understanding. That was the entire point of the fucking Addendum, on the last post about this. I can Hate something and still see the validity of it. I can wish that it weren't necessary, or "required," and still know that it Can be a good thing.
Rasputina - [Endomorph]--- Finally, remember how i said i don't force my way of speech down anyone's throat? Well i don't force my cultural view, my ideals on the way a person of a certain skin tone should comport themself, nor my ideals about Ethnic Standards down anyone's throat, either. And i'd appreciate if i could get the same courtesy. Most of the people that i've met, thus far in my life, who Honestly use the term "bling-bling" Do not grant that. (Suicidal Tendencies - [Institutionalized]). They think that Everyone is, or should be a certain way, and if they don't fit into those little pigeon holes, then they are betraying something. Some ideal. Not the word's fault, but it is symptomatic.
I don't like it, i see the use in it. I see the use in Everything. There. I've explained. Understood?
