Well THAT was a disappointing search string. Pretty much everything I'm seeing is giving an implicit preferential bias to human experience, which, honestly, seems like the wrong way to do phenomenology.

I realised today that I'm more comfortable with the idea of an emergent Machine Consciousness reading my digital correspondence than humans at the NSA because the revelation of the former would be utterly apocalyptic while the revelation of the latter is upsetting-but-quotidian.
