Quantum Mechanics, Many Worlds, Borges, Time Travel

Reading the endnotes in Time Traveler, I just learned that Hugh Everett, III, scientific father of the Many Worlds Theorem of Quantum mechanics (a theory which most believe to have been inspired by Jorge Luis Borges' "Garden Of Forking Paths"), died in 1982-- the year I was born.

I had a weird moment/thought, so i decided to go check his stats.

He died four days after my birthday.

That's interesting.
