Yesterday was kind of meh. Forgot that my paycheck this week was going to be roughly half of standard, due to Dragon*Con, and so errands didn't go by the way I would have liked. But they went by.
After that
unknownbinaries and I went to see I, Parasite; Android Lust; and Roughhausen on the Viscerex Complex Tour. They all did a fantastic job, even taking the late start into account. I danced a whole fucking lot, and we got to talk to James, and generally had a pretty great time watching people and the show.
unknownbinaries and I wanted to hang out more, afterwards, but we were starving, so we went to the Decatur Diner, around 3.30am, and then we crashed the hell out. We suggested to Shikkee that they check out R Thomas for a post-show dinner/breakfast, and apparently the whole band loved it; even if they didn't get to see the awake birds. Unfortuantely, they didn't get to hit there until 5am, and by that point we'd been in bed for an hour.
Today, we got invited out to brunch with them, at the Flying Biscuit. It was fan-fucking-tastic. This was the first time I've actually eaten AT the Flying Biscuit; before now, I've only ever had things from there to-go. It was even more fantastic, right from the restaurant. Three cups of coffee in, and I was still in danger of a food coma. Next time we absolutely have to try the oatmeal pancakes, as two people at the table got them, and both were roudly impressed. Great conversations about cats, art, cities, home gardening, music, and what 70 hours awake and touring does to/for one's psychology.
A fantastic way to spend an afternoon.
Now we're off to
not_hothead_yet's place.
Have a great evening, everyone.
