"I got a pocket full o' burnt cigarettes..."

Back from unknownbinaries' dad's place. Rebekah has taken to narrating everything in a Tom Waits-style voice, ever since unknownbinaries told her not to forget that she had a pocket full of cigarette butts, and I said that it sounded like a Tom Waits song.

Then, as I was talking to Rebekah about Tom Waits' role in the movie Domino, a guy in the elevator lobby visibly perked up. In the elevator he started talking about Tom Waits and Jack Nicholson in Ironweed. When we left the elevator, Rebekah Waits-Sang, "...And the man in the elevator/Said he knew my name..."

This shit just got meta-real.

Time to go read "Hark! A Vagrant" comics at one another.
