Warren Zevon - [The Indifference of Heaven]--- So last night I decided to listen to Alvin Lucier's "I Am Sitting in a Room" on headphones, then drink a Brain TonIQ, and then go to bed.

The result? Anxiety dreams (forgetting to pick up my tux for my mother's wedding; mutant schools under secret siege from the government; arrogant spies who were also musicians who also wanted me to sleep with them), woke up extremely horny, couldn't sleep more than six hours.

In addition to listening to what you actually do say, I am always studying what you don't say and how you don't say it.

Placebo - [Pure Morning]--- As I asked last night, on Twitter, I wonder if that's listening, the opposite of listening, or some third thing, more akin to madness? Because the ability to project into that space-- to interpret and misinterpret a pause for clarity as a reluctance, or a lack of discussion as avoidance-- is so much greater, if we haven't actually listened, in the first place. But if we have... well that's a powerful thing.

So, yes, I study who you don't mention, where you don't look, what you don't bring up.

Do the same, for me?

David Bowie - [No Control]--- I'm going to go get a shower, then eat some breakfast.

Have good days.
