Yesterday was strange.
Nov. 3rd, 2007 12:13 pmLong conversations with Dennis, yesterday, about the state of the departments, the direction of philosophy and religious studies, in general. Good talks.
But then I tried to go home. With the electrical problems on MARTA, and the stopping at stations that weren't mine, and the full-as-Hell (which is to say seemingly-infinitely-full) trains that followed. Standing on the platform, reading Kingdom Come (had an argument with
lord_of_smoking about the nature of the Superman character, and that kind of talk always makes me want to re-read that series), and one of the people there telling me that he had the Exact Book in his bag. We started talking about comics, and then MARTA announced that due to an emergency at Decatur Station, the train service was discontinued.
So I walked to Inman Park station (about a mile, maybe a little more), and by that point train service had resumed, and I'd been passed by two trains. So took the train, one more station, to my car. Then Pizza, then Home.
A strange day.
How are you, today?
