I've been thinking about this thing I've got, this desire to have and to hold onto the people in my life, to grow and change and extrapolate with all of them, as they go.
Think about that.
Take all the input of all the people you know and like, and all of their different paths. (Nine Inch Nails - [Reptile]). Imagine them as a star graph, laid out in a 4-dimensional field. Extension and growth through a conceptual space, over time. Now, you have that in your head? Now imagine it as being roughly the shape of an inverted cone, and you're at the centre of it, with all points of the star map radiating outward, from you (This is because you are the observational centre of your perception, yes? You are the Aleph Point.).
Now. Expand along those star lines, at a rate of change, equal to those of the individual stars. Encompass the rest of map, all at once.
That expansive, tearing, breaking, but somehow correct feeling you have, right now, is my mind, these days.
I cannot continue Like This. My hardware is not handling the software that I've put into it, and so it needs to change, in order that I might continue. (A Perfect Circle - [Thinking of You]). So, as soon as you have the ability for me to interface with a greater number of factoral components, expand along them, and retain the configuration algorithm that makes me Me, you let me know.
I'm talking about magic, today. Magic and technology. Two different systems, for different things, with applications to the same set of knowledge in that they are Systems, and they can help those that Systematise. Techknowmancy, as the kids might say. When we have two or more different systems, claiming different things, what do we do? We look at them side by side, and we say, well, what can we learn from these systems? Anything of use? When we close down the mind to the ability to gain new insights from other arenas, we will always be arrogantly surprised by our results.
A Perfect Circle - [3 Libras]--- Think about it. When we learn that something has medicinal properties, or that the world is literally affected by the pattern of our thought (no, not in that good thoughts "make" good things happen, but in a wavelength and quality kind of thing, coupled with type and kind), we stop, now, and go, "well, sure, these Primitive People's thought this to be the case, but we're scientists. Now that we've determined it, all by our lonesome, it's really and for truly factual."
Nine Inch Nails - [In This Twilight]--- The ability to look at the world and the various systems of thought, therein, are compromised. They are broken in that we are seemingly less able to take a system of description and investigation as a system of description or investigation, and to recognise that the privilege afforded to it is an arbitrary one, at base. Even the idea that we need "consistency" is flawed, as we are completely unable to "know" that our experiences match anything that they have matched before. (A Perfect Circle - [The Noose]). We take experience and we say "I remember a feeling and a series of sensations like This, and so I will try to continue to make them like That."
It works. We have televisions, and electron microscopes, and the ability to fly (assissted, sure, but stil...). I simply believe that we need to be more willing to let other things work, as well. Consistency does not necessitate exclusivity. You can be consistent within a context, and over-all consistent with "The World," in terms of your descriptions, and still be able to apply to different things. Situations.
Android Lust - [Feel the Empty Mask]--- And here we are, back at the beginning.
It's so good to see you. I've missed you so much.

The Devil's Bible
Sep. 28th, 2007 08:30 pmI'd heard something about this, a while back.
'PRAGUE, Czech Republic (AP) — Codex Gigas, also known as the Devil's Bible — a medieval manuscript said to have been written 800 years ago with the devil's help — has returned to Prague after an absence of 359 years. . .
'According to myth, a Benedictine monk promised to write the book overnight to atone for his sins. When he realized the task was impossible, he asked the devil for help. The page with the illustration of the devil the one visitors see. . .
'It contains "a sum of the Benedictine order's knowledge" of the time, including the Old and New Testament, "The War of the Jews" by the first-century historian Josephus Flavius, a list of saints, or a guideline how to determine the date of Easter, Uhlir said.'
Interesting.
