Prince of Persia - Sands of Time - [The Sands of Time]--- Nothing spectacular, today, really. Lots of rain, and bleh. Some understanding, in all of my classes. Now i need to think of interview questions, and buy a graphing calculator.

"Dead Like Me" and "Farscape," are my current visual addictions...

Sinéad O'Connor - [Just Like U Said It Would B]--- I'm ok, i guess. I need to go do some things.

The Dresden Dolls - The Time Has Come--- There are a lot of things going on, around all of us, wouldn't you agree? Things that seem... Mundane, or out of the ordinary, or coincidental, or whatever. But things. They are certainly that. Sometimes we don't even notice these things, and we keep poking about, doop-dee-doo, head in the sky, eyes supposedly open, and missing it all. We have our input thresholds. I like to watch them flux. They'll grow or shrink, and we'll [want to] see more, or less, and ascribe greater or smaller significance to world events, and their conjunctions with our lives, and that's cool.

The Dresden Dolls - Thirty Whacks--- It's frustrating as shit, though, to watch people i know want to stick their heads in the sand. Doesn't make me love or respect them, any less... Except that, over time, it does. When people don't want to know, when they blind themselves, willingly, to the things that, ultimately, they will need to know, to make it through the Brave New World™, it disappoints. I've figured this out, just now, actually...

I never used to have a real answer when people would ask me why they should deal with things, think about things, when it seemed so much easier to simply ignore them, and let them go. Well here's the answer: Remember the test, with the marshmallows, seeing which of the children would understand delayed gratification? (The Dresden Dolls - Missed Me). There is the choice of one marshmallow, now, or a guaranteed three marshmallows, five minutes from now, if you wait. The children who waited got their three, and were more satisfied. Those who didn't wait, were upset, when the others got three, to their one. This is what we call an analogy; wait for the pay off.

When you agree to stop paying attention, now, to the things around you, the settings and set-ups, the coincidences, and events, of life and the universe, you are silently agreeing to not get your three marshmallows, later-- You refuse to notice now, so, when the evidential inevitability comes around, when you're forced to notice (because it'll be like perceptions of gravity, at that point), it'll be a lot harder, on you. (The Dresden Dolls - Truce). You chose the instant gratification, of not having to think about it, over being prepared, and getting ready for the future situations where, yeah, the marshmallows might be burnt, but ther are still three of them.

Maybe that's confusing. Here's something simple. If you hide now, when whatever happens later happens, you'll be Fucked. There are a lot of people working on a lot of things, to change the fucking nature of the reality in which we exist. I'm one of them, if you haven't gathered. I'm trying to change the perceptions and ideas of the physical reality of which we are aware, and i have been doing so, since i was eight, at the very least. This is something that has been my truth, for a while, and it's not like there isn't Evidence for the truth of it. Read some damned Crowley, and then some Quantum Mechanics. Or the other way around, if it so pleases you.

I've stated, before, that when you talk to people about "Magic," they roll their eyes, and dismiss you as mad. But when you talk to them about psychology, sciences of perception, probability, and the manipulation of matter and energy as synonymous entities, they perk up, a bit. They'll still think of it as fringe science, but that's usually because you haven't hit the keystone on which their perceptions rest. Talk about one of their Viewpoint Seats, and they'll begin to listen. They'll hear you, a bit more, when you speak their language. And as you slowly integrate it, together, they begin to hear it all, and, because of that, they try to shut you out, cling to the "rational," but you can't let them. (The Dresden Dolls - Will). You have to reel them back in, with understandings of their ideals. Know how to make it all matter to them (if this matters to you, at all), and you'll be able to pave a way.

You're not meant to agree with me, here. You're not meant to accept it all, either. All i want is for you to understand. Everything. And to do what you will with that understanding. Open as many boxes as you can, and become them, what they contain, and what contains them, while retaining your individuality. That's tonight's assignment.

That's all.
