Try not to take things too personally just now, WOLVEN. You will likely find yourself surrounded by some colorful, eccentric people. They might be a little snobby, imagining themselves to be better than you are. Or they might be moody, displaying a confusing array of unexpected emotions. You should observe their behavior as if you are watching characters act out a scene in a movie. Don't let it upset you!

Ben Folds Five - [Army]--- So i've been thinking about things... And i've been asking people questions of what they would do, if offered everything they could be, etc... And everyone i've asked, tonight has said that they wouldn't take it, for a very simple reason: Where's the point? There's no learning, no progression, just boom and it's there. No one has asked for an option Three, yet. Option three is: Lay the groundwork, know what you can have, and know more clearly, what's in store. Then You Work, knowing Why you work. It's a small jump, in Perception and a widening of the Field from which you can Pull the options.

Liars - [Grown Men Don't Fall in the River, Just Like That]--- Problem is people only saw one or the other-- know or don't, and be able to maybe work toward it-- they didn't see the option of knowing the reality of infinite possibility. Knowing, as a core thing, that anything was possible, with enough of the right kind of work, toward it. So, they chose not to know, and to run blind. Which, for the reasons of Earning it, and actually Getting There, is commendable, but if you can broaden your field of perception to include a whole new spectrum of information, then why not? (Oingo Boingo - [Running On A Treadmill]). Which is why i'm doing what i'm doing here. Saying what i'm saying.

I want people to know it's there. Know for a fact, like they know Gravity. Things Fall Down. Everything Is Possible. I want that to be acknowledged intrinsic knowledge. So, things get shifted. And i tell people, i talk to them. They have the choice to deny it, and fight against it, just like people do, with gravity, but there's... A cyclical thing, there. The more you work against it, the more you prove it... (Voltaire - [See You In Hell]). Because of.. well... everything...

It's like trying to disprove infinity: The more you throw into it, the stronger you make the case...

Rambling now.... Still looking for opinions, here, people. If the intrinsic machinary of the reality we know were to be changed, to bring more "weird shit," and understandings closer to the public eye (because even that, what seems so huge, is only a Step), not to force, but to Present The Choice, would you want it to be?

Don't know why i dreamed that.

Electric Six& Jack White - [Danger (High Voltage)]--- i dreamed of "Another 48 Hours" in a combination of DC, Downtown Atlanta, and parts of Germany. I've never bee to Germany. Nick Nolte, and Eddie Murphy were there. There was lots of running, trying to find some people who'd killed some people, and lots of being framed, by corrupt officials. Nick and Eddie got arrested, by the German Polizei, and Sara, meine Professorin, was there, but she was more distant, not quite Her... Kind of felt like a combination of her and my Brit Lit teacher. (Wümpscüt - [Totmacher (VNV Nation Remix)]). When they got arrested, i had to drive the car, and that was weird, because i could only get out of the window, and i knew i was wanted, and had no where to go. I thought to myself, "Well i've always wanted to see Germany." As i was getting in the car, thinking about how to save them, i woke up.

Very strange things. Rminding me, perhaps, that i need to study my German, more... "Hmm... Points to Ponder."

Jack Off Jill - [Lovesong (Cure Cover)]--- So, last night, i went to see "Troy," again, and i was right about the whole being further fromt he screen thing. I was able to more fully enjoy parts that i missed, as i wasn't so close to the damned screenthat i hat to look up a sotey and a half to see. (Corvus Corax - [Tanzwut]). On the other hand, i was more able to see the things i hated, as well, and very clearly. So it still evens out. I saw something else, before i saw the movie though. I saw previews.

There were previews, there for things i don't remember, and three that i most certainly do. Of those three, one of them was remembered for a good reason, the other two, because i can't fucking scrub their memory from my mind. Saw the "Catwoman" trailer, and that horror was nothing new. Yes it looks to be disgusting, and like they've butchered the character, but, and i don't mean this to be insulting, or Anything, there wasn't that much potential in what i've seen of the Catwoman Series, to make that great of a movie. The story of Selina Kyle, yes, but what else? (Stabbing Westward - [Shame]). Granted, i haven't read much of the Catwoman series, but i like the character, and think what they've done is horrible. But they've done something even Worse, in my opinion. They've fucked up HellBlazer.

I saw a preview for the "Constantine" movie. Yes, it's actually Keanu Reeves. Yes, it's actually LA. No, he doesn't Smoke. No, he's not British. No he's not blonde, and from what i can tell, he's not even a Right Fucking Bastard. So, in short, He's Not John Constantine. They fucked it up. They took something that could have been wonderful, and awesome, and they destroyed everything that made it good. They had the potential of a story about a man who, Several Times, has conned the Legions of Heaven And Hell, for friends, while, in the same breath, using his friends, to save his own skin. Because he's a fucking Bastard. But he's amazing. He's a character that you hate, you love, and you want nothing more than to see him Get His, and Win, all at the same time. (Sneaker Pimps - [Becoming X]). You Care. This movie.... This Fucking Movie... you don't give a Damn, about anyone in it. And maybe you think i'm upset, because i'm a fan. Click that link.

You see those credits? Click them. Check the Director. Script Writer. Cast. Hey, Gavin Rossdale's in it; can't be that bad, right? Note my ironic depths. It will be horrid. Because they took something that has, in its time, been a pinnacle of the comics world, and turned it into "The Order 2," where a man named John Constantine fights for love, and the true of heart, and those in need, in the depths of... LA...Office Buildings... (The White Stripes - [Fell in Love With a Girl]). Uhm.... No? So, i'm a little upset.

I look around, and nothing i see gives me hope for people being faithful to Materials. For the love of god, don't make me talk about what they did to "I, Robot." (Oingo Boingo - [On The Outside]). Mr Asimov... on behalf of everyone... I'm sorry... I'm So Very, Very Sorry...

They've destroyed Potential icons, and institutions, this time around. They've taken things that, if done properly, could have taught peole lessons in things, and given them a good story, Too, and turned them into things that will tank so very hard that the matreials from which they are drawn may suffer. Catwoman, HellBlazer, I, Robot... They don't deserve this treatment... they can't weather this treatment, in the movie business... Superman, Batman, Spidreman: these are already Institutions. (Meryn Cadell - [Knitting]). As drstrangeal has said, they are known, and understood, within the collective unconscious, thereby allowing people to play around with the concepts, and not Hurt them... Of all of the translative movies, yet to be released, i think I, Robot stands the best chance of not being hurt.

Wolfsheim - [Blind]--- Don't get me wrong i hope the movie tanks, and that the people who do see it, are intruiged enough to read the source material, and gain some damned knowledge... But i take double endged comfort in the fact that most of the people who see the piece of garbage won't have read Asimov, and that they may not even know who he is, unless told... So i think, maybe, with all of these, the point is to talk to people, before and after they've seen them, and tell them what's gone Wrong. Show them the sources, and try to convey the importance of getting a Story, and the Truth of the Matierial Across. (Social Distortion - [Story of My Life]). Because the shit being put on screen is not a worthy representation of these works. Not at All.
