So, that was weird.

Today, i wrote a letter, and i obtained Four new books. Dune by Frank Herbert, The Gunsliger: Revised and Expanded by Stephen King, The Difference Engine by William Gibson and Bruce Sterling, and Shadow Puppets by Orson Scott Card. Started on Gunslinger, and should finish it, tomorrow. Already HAVE the orginal, mind you... but i'm a completist. {Happy birthday, from my mom.}

Also, i came to a nice conclussion, today. Thinking about Transmet--> Thinking about Pagans reclaiming England, in Transmet --> Thinking about Paganism--> Thinking about Mr Wednesday, in San Franscisco, in American Gods, and how that "Pagan" girl knew nothing of the roots of her supposed faith.

Realisation: The Majority of Pagans, Wiccans, Neo-Pagans, and other "Non-traditionals" are as much victims of Revisionist Histories, as Judeo-Christian-Islamic peoples. Some less than others, in Each of them all, yes, but over all. The point is that, again, people appropriate, and don't consider that which came before. Change doesn't mean forgetting. Or, at least, it doesn't have to.

That's really all i wanted to say.

Dreams of taken fallen bits of Tech-Dreams, and what were technological angels, into my arms and Knowing their stories, and understanding them, which Was, and was better than saving them.

I slept in the car, while my mother was in the church.

I dreamed, this afternoon, of pictures, and wandering around unknown/known/shared cities. Cities that were sick with the togetherness they Meant, and i was with mech_angel, and we wandered the cities. We had the pictures from my last visit to Philly, but there were more pictures, of her and I, individually, from long ago, and, in those pictures, in the past, we knew each other. The streets were clean and dark and light. The sidewalks were of dark marble, and they shone like glass.

Downstairs, in my father's house of 13th and F, which was now the basement, And not all that open. Like Aunt Laverne's House, from awhile ago, and There's damnedsaint, and there are important meetings going on, concerning the fate of the world. damnedsaint holds up a pack of cigarettes, as if that explains it all. There is talk, palaver, and Strixus is there, in some capacity. Third aspect, after maiden and mother.

Last night i dreamed of Lorraine, and her teaching me valuable lessons about teaching... On waking i did not know them.

Today, i thought of many things, and wondered at being useful, even in folding fucking brochures. There are deadlines to be met, and goals to achieve, and, for now, those can be there, as mine, in this capacity, do not exist. I obtain little scraps of information, daily, people speaking slowly, circuitously, incredulously, not-believing-i -can-have-asked-what-i-have-ingliy. And they avoid, so i ask, again, and again, slowly gaining some kind of meaning from their words. I came to more realisations about the nature of the Revisions...

Evolution, slow need and hunger. Things not being of Themselves, anymore, but of a mask and a game. People like to speak of things being Metaphors, about how sybols and what not are not to be taken literally. The Eucharist is a metaphor to some. The Afterlife. The ideal of transcendant souls. Etc. The words spoken, the everything about anything is all a metaphor for Nothing. A way to make people Feel Better about the Universe. Yeah. Math and science, but fouck that, for right now. If it's all a metaphor, then simply live the Moral. If this is a Parable, take the meaning, and run. Don't live a lie you don't believe. On the Other handmaybe we should realise that, in this life, if we're speaking of this life, then all we Can Speak, is meatphors. There is no Ultimate Truth save perception and experience. You think, &c.

This came about from wondering why many Christians believe their beliefs, but not many other things that are at least as believable as those. And following, from there. Metaphors, without the realisation that All is a Metaphor for the All, and that that Doesn't Make It Any Les Real And Important, are simply cautionary tales. Learn the moral, live your way. And maybe That's the point. Either one will work... But the muddled ignorant Mix... Hm.
