I'm cass and I hardly ever leave my cave anymore.

It's hard to step down from your position as domestic goddess and join the masses so I'm sure everyone will forgive me.

Being a mom at this late stage has made me realize my age as well as reinject me with youth. But I've always been split-personality so this is a good thing.

I'm not going to be cliche and say "oh you either really love me or really hate me" or the other very popular one "I'm the best friend you could ever have or the worst enemy you ever made" - pffft! I'm not THAT extreme or dramatic and frankly I don't know anyone who really IS that extreme or dramatic. I prefer subtlety (probably because i'm not very subtle)

People who get to know me usually really like me, but I can leave a bad taste in your mouth if you really piss me off.

And I'm supposed to be really really smart. All kinds of smart. I just can't ever remember how many days are in a month.

I spin silk and wool by hand, on spindle and on wheel. I've dyed wool with hickory nuts (sienas and umbers), food coloring (muted and bright greens, reds, muted purples) and kool-ade (candy colors). I knit, I crochet, I play with color and texture.

I'm not technically new, been a few months, so I'm bored and I'll play. This week I learned breaking my own stereotypes means doing my make up, wearing pink, and getting my nails done. I think that means I need to branch out and be more diverse. How is your week?

Although I am filled with avarice for shiny and good smelling things, my very favorite thing is to send surprise packages to friends and have them freak out about how many in-jokes and items they absolutely love are in it.
