Malt doch nicht immer
Den teufel an die wand
Euer ewiges gewimmer
Kostet den verstand
Krempelt hoch die ärmel und
Atmet tief durch
Wir werden es schon schaffen
Trotzet eurer furcht
An deck jetzt alle
Drauf und dran
Spuckt in die hände
Packen wir's an
Hau ruck
Ruck zuck
Macht gute meine
Zum bitterbösen spiel
Ihr habt nichts zu verlieren doch
Gewinnen könnt ihr viel
Schnallt den gürtel enger
Nähret euren zorn
Den letzten kriegen die hunde
Schaut entschlossen nur nach vorn
Zusammen jetzt alle
Zieht den karren aus dem dreck
Unsere rücken unsere fäuste nur das
Mittel zum zweck

Good Morning.
[10.54am: Today is the birthday of a few dear friends and acquaintences, and I really don't like to mar that.
However, this needs to be said, again and again, and heard, again and again:
And beyond "Happy Birthday," to my loved ones, that is all I have to say about today.]

Date: 2008-09-11 04:41 pm (UTC)It's the real-life version of the "Network" rant. It made me tear up. And I want everyone to get mad and realize just what he just said. I want McCain to hear that. And I want his mindless supporters who actually CHEER when they hear "9/11 (tm)" to hear what he said.
How have we, as a whole country, let this happen? Let it get so far? Let it become a trademark and a TOOL of ANY political party? Why hasn't anyone said anything sooner?

Someone needs to go decorate the Memorial in black, and lay to rest the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Because we don't deserve them any more.

Date: 2008-09-11 10:30 pm (UTC)It's too easy to say, "The country has turned to crap, we might as well give up and let it die." What happened to fighting back?
Besides which, the country isn't dead yet. Nor is it in such shitty shape. Yes, things are bad. Yes, things have gone wrong. Yes, we have problems. But it's still a good place to live. It's still better than a lot of other countries we could be living on. This country was built on strength, determination and courage. But if everyone just gives up and says, "Man, this place sucks" then of course it's going to turn to shit.
Why bitch and moan? Why put down the country you live in? What does that solve? Any time I hear someone say "I'm moving to Canada" or "I'm going to live in England" or "I just want to get out of America" it just pisses me off.
