"23" is meaningful to quite a lot of people who read my LJ. Discordians, Illuminati, Chaos Magicians, and people who just like Weird Things, all tend to have some hand on 23.
It's just my favorite number because of a silly story involving a friend with poor memory. He said if I told him a two digit number, that within 10 minutes he'd forget what it was. I saw some four digit number that started or ended with 23 and just happened to pick that. Every time I spoke to him since then I'd be like, "WHAT'S THE NUMBER?" And he'd remember it. So it was cute. Sadly, we don't really talk anymore, but I just got so hooked on the number it became my favorite.
Aside from that, though, I just think it looks pretty. ^_^ Such a pleasing combination... 23... Yeah. I even started writing my 2s differently because of it! Heh! And I saw that Jim Carey movie "The Number 23" because of it. Verreh interestin'.
When I told my hippy boss that it was my favorite number, he looked at me all surprised. It was meaningful to him for various reasons, dates and things he said, but didn't explain at that time. (We'd basically just met and I was picking a locker number. There was no 23, sadly.)
