Oingo Boingo - [Winning Side]--- That song is So stuck in my head... Not much going on, here, tonight.. feeling slightly ill, due to food. I should really stop eating that stuff. But, yeah.. i'm going to actually get some real sleep, tonight. No obligations, tomorrow, and nowhere to be... I'll sleep, till i wake up, and then i may go out and do something. Maybe. Hmm... Though i do have home work to do.... German German... I'll get it done, in the afternoon. That, and some studying...

Oingo Boingo - [Spider (Mono, Right Chan Only)]--- The truth of the matter is that i don't have to turn the German in, until Tyr's Day... i could use tomorrow to find a business ethics article, and start my journal... Hmm... Which reminds me: On Monday, i'll need to go down to Vox, and see what's what. I'll have 4.25 hours to kill, ja? Ja.

And I'm planning some aggressive teaching tactics, down at campus, soon... Things like preaching the word of Cthulhu, screaming about how the cities will rise, and the Black Continent will devour us all, and then ending every paragraph with "Cthulhu F'taghn!" I think it could go over well.. they can't really Stop me... Free speech, and all that. If the Jews for Jesus can wander around handing people fliers, i can stand on a fountain and scream about how Huxley was right, and we're all going to hell.

Oingo Boingo - [Glory Be]--- Which reminds me: i finished "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" a few days ago.. (Careful.. There may be pseudo-spoilers, ahead.) i had to go back and re-read a couple of chapters before the end, because i read those in a sleepy haze, before i passed out, one night, but other than that, it was a damn good book. It was significantly different from "Blade Runner," but close enough that i didn't feel cheated, by the movie. That happened, when i read "Jurassic Park," after seeing the movie, and i always fear it happening, again...

Another good thing about it was the fact that it wasn't traditional Cyberpunk.. There was that element there, of course, but there was also a level of satire. If you were to think of it as a serious episode of the Jettsons, you'd be close to the feeling i got, from it. (Oingo Boingo - [When The Light Go Out]). The satire is so subtle that you almost miss it, until you start noticing the inconsistencies, and the things that, when looked at differently, make sense, but in a humourous fashion... (Oingo Boingo - [Home Again]). The states of the "Specials" and the androids, the ideals of Mercer, the mood fixations and needs for empathy, within the human community ... They're all wonderful things, when looked at in the context of Pragmatism, holism, and individual responsibility... (Oingo Boingo - [I Am The Walrus]). It's a great book... i'll probably read it again, soon, to make sure i have it all... As for now, though, i've started on "Witches Abroad." Hooray for Terry Pratchett....

Oingo Boingo - [Dead Man's Party (Party 'til You're Dead Mix)]--- Other than that, i think i'm done babbling like and insane person, for now... No... wait: We're going the way of the worst of our Sci-fi fantasies.. We have all sorts of wonderful advancements, and we have a drive to go forward, but we are made to not Want anything, better. Nothing is meant to offend, or hurt, or otherwise penetrate or collective psyche. We allow ourselves to be told what to do, and think, and we have become reactionary, cowardly beasts, lashing out at one another, instead of trying understand each other.

If we were to simply try to understand why, we may at least come up with better reasons for our violence, than "He started it." Perhaps, to begin with, accepting the fact that we, as humans, are violent, by nature. Oops. Poor us. You chose to be here, so you might as well enjoy it. That's not me endorsing violence, or telling you to go out and bash the hell out of your neighbor. Rather, it is me saying that, if you happen to have a violent tendency, you should accept it, and Deal With It, rather than pushing it away, or making excuses for it... Your violence, if it exists, is a part of you. As is your creativity, your individuality, your pains, your pleasures... You are an individual... Don't let things become complacent, to the point where you don't care about wanting things, and having dreams...

"What brave new world, that has such people in it..."
