My favourite question i came up with for this semester's final exam:

'A machine [consciousness] comes into being and asks the Buddha, Lorraine Code, and René Descartes, "What Can I Know?" How do they answer?'

And I'm really proud of the students who tackled it.

halou - Wiser--- So my great aunt, who was basically a third grandmother to my family, the woman at whose house Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, and every other family food holiday was held, the matrix and centre of my mother's side of the family, who has had Alzheimer's-like dementia for the past several years, and who had a heart attack about 6 years ago, has been in the hospital with pneumonia since last night.

Psyclon Nine - [Hymn to the Angels' Descent]--- Not doing too great with that news, mentally and emotionally, at >30 hours awake. Had to call it on grading, for the night, and take a nap.
