wolven7: (The Very Devil)
At the start of the day, I generally felt like shit. At the end of it, I did my taxes, sent some book-signing e-mails, made some major headway on the next Being Human review, and now I'm going to bed.

I don't have much to add, other than to say that my life is a complex multi-faceted jewel/puzzle box of a thing, and I'm very very happy for that.

Good night.

A question

Rebekah asked me this question, the other day, and now I ask it to you:

If you had the option between A) Immortality after your current age (but your brain would still grow change and evolve), with the only means of dying being a violent death or B) guaranteed invulnerability to all sickness or harm for sixty years, which would you choose and why?

I would choose (B) because the things I could do with complete invulnerability to harm are greater and more meaningful to me. I could swim to the bottom of the Marianas Trench. I could swimin a Volcano. I could go into space, and come back. I could learn anything, anywhere, I could fight crime, I could save lives. All of it.

With (A), the fear of that violent death would become paralyzing. Imagine if you'd told Achilles that there was one way he was going to die, but didn't tell him which way. The fact of the possibility of getting hit by a bus is even more terrifying, now.

That kind of thing. Answers in the comments, if you please
